Mitigate Learning Loss with COVID Relief Funds

The focus of SPARK is to develop healthy lifestyles, motor skills, movement knowledge, and social & personal skills. Healthy kids are better learners, and this is now more important than ever. To ensure students are getting the most out of Physical Education, summer school, and after school programs, we strongly encourage following an evidence-based program such as SPARK. The most recent federal relief bill, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), specifically states that 5% of funding should be used towards “Evidence-Based Activities” to address learning loss.

Our After School curriculum gets students active outside the school day with an organized and effective approach
The SPARK After School philosophy is: Include ALL youth, actively engage ALL youth, and instill the love of lifelong movement in ALL youth
Designed to address activities outside the school day. Each is researched-backed with effective, specific tools and lesson plans for instructors that address the learnings for ages 5 to 14 in a “beyond the school day” environment. Perfect for after school or summer programming

SPARK hosts professional development/training for staff & teachers
Instructional strategy training (PD) can be done in-person or virtually

  Providing Programs That Address SEL

SPARK programs include lesson plans that address specific social-emotional learning skills with cards that provide opportunities for classes to define and discuss
