SPARK PROGRAM OPTIONS AND PRICING

SPARK workshops solicit philosophical “buy-in,” show teachers how to navigate the instructional materials and digital content, then prepare effective lessons, and provide active examples that foster best practices.

SPARK training is truly a special event:  Smiles are prevalent, laughter frequent, and a special rapport occurs between participants and their trainer.  Participants leave ready, willing, and able to implement SPARK effectively and maximize student outcomes.

After more than two decades of research and dissemination experiences, SPARK has learned that teacher training is an essential component and at least 12 hours of it are needed for successful implementation. SPARK strongly recommends the PREMIUM program. Alternatives should be considered only if budgetary constraints and/or hours for staff development cannot meet PREMIUM standards.

Program prices are per SPARK program (Early Childhood, K-2, 3-6, Middle School, High School, After-School, Inclusive PE, Active Classrooms) – not all programs offer all three program options.

SPARK curriculum (the “what” to teach) is required for each participant attending a SPARK training (the “how” to teach). For details on curriculum pricing click here. In addition, equipment (the “tools” to teach) are required for the training. A list of needed workshop equipment the host must provide will be provided –  the site hosting the training can round up their own equipment that is needed or purchase SPARK recommended equipment.

SPARK Standard* Program (1-Day/6 hours) Provides:

  • A Project Coordinator: Oversees delivery of all components and serves as liaison and single point of contact to the contracted school/agency and its representatives
  • Four evaluative tools (program assessments) and the consultation on how to use them (needs assessment, workshop / inservice evaluations, lesson quality checklists, and program evaluations)
  • An estimated 3 hours trainer preparation time for each SPARK training
  • 3 hours for set-up and take down at each training
  • (6) hours of active instruction led by a SPARK Certified Trainer
  • Workshop box that includes: Handout packets, SPARK pens, name tags for each participant, raffle tickets and SPARK raffle prizes for (e.g., t-shirt, clipboard, water bottle, equipment, etc.), and sign-in sheet.
  • SPARK Star Meeting – to support institutionalization (additional 30 min session)
  • Each person attending earns a “SPARK Certificate of Participation”

Price: $2,699 + travel

SPARK Premium* Program (2-Days/12 hours) Provides All Standard PLUS:

  • Additional 6-hour workshop (new content and more instructional strategies)
  • Second SPARK Star meeting (additional 30 min session)
  • Attendees receive “SPARK Certified Instructor” Awards
  • Colorful SPARK Banner

Price: $4,699 + travel

SPARK Starter* Program (½ Day/3 hours) Provides:

  • A Project Coordinator: Oversees delivery of all components and serves as liaison and single point of contact to the contracted school/agency and its representatives
  • Four evaluative tools (program assessments) and the consultation on how to use them (needs assessment, workshop / inservice evaluations, lesson quality checklists, and program evaluations)
  • An estimated 3 hours trainer preparation time for each SPARK training
  • 3 hours for set-up and take down at each training
  • (3) hours of active instruction led by a SPARK Certified Trainer
